Visiting the dermatologist has done wonders for those experiencing skin imperfections, flaws, and blemishes. The doctor assesses the problem and, through medications and ointments, treats the problem accordingly. However, there are ancient methods you can use yourself just by understanding where your blemishes appear on your face.

A 3,000 year old Chinese skincare practice based off of mapping and observation shows how our skincare flaws are directly correlated to issues going on in our own body. It’s called Chinese Face Mapping.

The Chinese believe that when one part of the body is affected or sick, it affects other parts as well, and it shows outwardly. Yes, a poor diet, overworking, stress, and a lack of better hygiene all affects how our skin looks, but what is the reason when nones of these are the reasons?

The T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin) is mostly associated with oiliness and breakouts. Any imperfections on the forehead relate to issues in the small intestine and nervous system. Whereas breakouts on the corners of the forehead indicate an issue with the kidney and bladder. Narrowing in on what bodily organ needs to be treated can help cure the reason for the breakouts.

The eyebrows, another area of the t-zone, can get breakouts due to the liver, indicating a digestion issue. Imperfections on the nose show a problem with the heart, whether it is congestion or blood sugar or blood pressure issues.

The last part of the T-zone is the mouth and chin area. Any issues there indicates a problem in the colon and stomach, and while the cheek area is not associated with the T-zone, many still experience breakouts and imperfections there. Experiencing breakouts on the cheeks is again, an issue within the stomach.

Chinese Face Mapping is a method that has been used for thousands of years to indicate why skin imperfections continue to persist, and understanding what needs to be fixed inside the body is a sure way to correct what is happening outwardly on the face. Chinese Face Mapping can also be seen as a healthier solution to actually fixing the root problems relating to skincare concerns, rather than using harsh chemicals to just zap them away.
